waste-free community campaign

A community where locals can take advantage of local shops that promote waste-free living. This campaign aims to encourage sustainable living by connecting local shops with residents in Edinburgh. This campaign promotes reducing plastic waste, refill options and social events based on waste-free living. It focuses on a sustainable community while supporting local businesses.

Flyers used pre-owned paper and a digital platform to locate shops, earn loyalty points, and find events.

Analogue

A project inspired by Modelle Von Flachen Zweiter Ordnung (Geometric Carton Model) by Dr Alexander Brill. Resource provided by the Edinburgh University Special Collections. The Geometric Carton Model consists of a surface that can be represented by equations of degree two spheres. An ellipsoid, a paraboloid, a hyperboloid, a sphere, and a cone. The model is constructed from paper that is easy to handle and use for educational purposes. Led me to the inspiration of movement of objects and hands-on interactions.

A wooden crankie scroll showing each motion of a paper model through 24mm film.
