My work explores place, memory, and the body through ceramics and printmaking, rooted in a deep love for the wild, weathered landscape of Northern Ireland—a place that continually shapes my thinking and making. Inspired by the preservation and folklore of Irish bogs, I reflect on themes of mortality, disintegration, and the traces we leave behind. Using clay and second-hand textiles, I create life-sized prints and urn-like sculptures that evoke both the familiarity of domestic materials and ancient burial practices, expressing the quiet power of materials to carry meaning. These objects invite quiet contemplation on how we inhabit the world and how we are remembered within it. The land remains a constant presence in my work, holding stories just beneath its surface.
