My project Evolv aims to explore how design can foster a longer-term relationship between users and products. It focuses on how structural design, usability, and adaptability enable the long-term continued use of products.
In this context, children's furniture is particularly relevant. Many existing products, such as children's dining chairs, are designed for short-term use and are quickly replaced as children grow, limiting the opportunity to build a long-term relationship with users and leading to unnecessary waste. Therefore, this project explores how to rethink furniture design to adapt to different stages of child development while ensuring safety, stability, and everyday usability.
By combining structural performance with long-term use scenarios, this project seeks to create a design approach that ultimately promotes more sustainable usage patterns.
