Project description

Elders' values and abilities have been overlooked in contemporary society. Ageism is the social discrimination based on age, causing elders to face social isolation and mental health challenges, threatening their overall well-being in their daily lives.

BridGen is a collaborative board game for 2 to 4 people that balances playfulness with deep conversation. Players choose their value tokens and use the prompt card to share life experiences, using the value tokens to bridge the gap on the board. Faced with the challenge of building the bridge collaboratively, ultimately, brings the divided lands back together. The takeaway of the game encourages older adults to feel valued and respected, while younger participants gain insight from their experiences and wisdom, as they work together to bridge generational gaps and challenge ageism.

BridGen aims to break age stereotypes and spark cross-generational conversation, creating opportunities for both older and younger age groups to communicate.
