Syafiqah Noorman is a Singaporean illustrator, comic artist, and self-proclaimed pigeon princess. As a visual storyteller, Syafiqah draws (no pun intended) inspiration from her everyday life, often reinterpreting her experiences with a humourous twist. On the side, Syafiqah loves to stop and watch the pigeons.
To date, Syafiqah has self-published a number of work. Her first graphic novel, Flock, explores feelings of prolonged adolescence in pursuit of The Singaporean Dream. Pigeon's First Day Out is her first children's picture book, that follows a young pigeon as he learns to brave life in a busy city through stories of pigeons before him. Pigeon's First Day Out was Highly Commended at the 2025 Macmillan Prize for Illustration. Additionally, through zines, Syafiqah has delved into themes of childhood and womanhood through Bullshit! and Celup respectively.
Syafiqah is also a contributor of comic collective A Little Group Meeting.
