Nadia is a Danish illustrator, comic artist and riso printmaker based in Edinburgh. Often seen through an underwater lens, her work is rooted in personal experiences, which is elevated to something simultaneously universal and otherworldly through surreal worldbulding and a keen eye for detail and metaphors. Nadia primarily works with traditional mediums such as colouring pencils and watercolour.
Mollusc is the first part of Nadia’s first graphic novel. In her distinctive warm and poetic way, Nadia explores the feelings that can arise in the aftermath of sexual assault and tenderly describes the struggle it can be to live in an invaded body.
