Hi I’m Sarah an illustrator based in Edinburgh UK. I build my illustrations through a striking colour palette and textured lines. With a focus on education for children and young adults my work can range across many subjects including wildlife, culture and history.
The final project of my MA was the creation of the book - All About Shoes. A non-fiction children's book exploring the fascinating world of shoes, featured below. Through the book, readers will learn about the history of shoes, how they are made and what shoes mean to us today. Also featured are collaborations with St Cecilia’s Hall, where I developed a Music Museum Trail and character named Tutti to engage children with instruments from their collection. Also The Water of Leith, working to update their animal resources, I created a visually rich wildlife guide featuring local flora and fauna.
