Bio

Kirstin Bone is a Scottish illustrator based between Ayrshire, Glasgow and Edinburgh. Drawing inspiration from people and nature, Kirstin creates illustrations that are energetic, joyful, and emotionally engaging.

Whether working on books, branding projects, prints, or personal work, she brings a strong sense of character and warmth to every composition. Kirstin works primarily with digital tools such as Procreate and Photoshop, allowing her to experiment freely with texture, composition, and colour. Alongside her digital process, she regularly returns to traditional sketchbook work using crayons, paints, and mixed media. Her use of colour is central to her practice. She is particularly interested in commercial projects which capture atmosphere, movement, and human interaction. She draws inspiration by translating ordinary moments into lively visual narratives with warmth and personality.​

Sirens Brew

This work was created as part of a coffee branding project for a fictional café called Sirens Brew. Coffee has historically been transported across oceans through global shipping routes, and the imagery of sirens and mermaids was used to connect the branding to this maritime history.
