My artistic practice aims to conceal theatricality, space and performance. I compose sites or set-like installations for people and things to happen in them. I work on a mix-media basis, where sculptural elements meet video, light and sound in carefully curated compositions. The works may be described as immersive, as they borrow qualities from dreams and memory representation. Drawing from concepts of condensation and displacement, abstraction, liminality, and storytelling come together to convey experiences both intimate and relatable. I am particularly interested in the rites of passage that shape oneself, exploring the ever-growing connections we make within ourselves and others. I try and create spaces for growth - spaces of freedom and expression. I bind my sculptures and performances through spoken word and sound, conciliating the theatrical quality of minimalistic sculpture and the need for performative media in within the contemporary artistic scene.
