The Tamir Triad - By Lynn Flewelling

The Tamir Triad is a fantasy series that also serves as an allegory for the trans experience. Tobin, the prophesised female heir to the throne, is disguised as a boy as protection. My interpretation uses elements of androgyny to reflect this theme, while also using a mixture of medieval and Byzantine silhouettes to create the world of the narrative. Prints with influences from both these periods and the work of William Morris are used through out, with motifs that hide further symbolism for the characters.

The Adventure Zone - The McElroy Family

The Adventure Zone (TAZ) is a Live-play Dungeons and Dragon's podcast that I have reinterpreted for stage.  I wanted to convey the fun and ridiculousness of the partially improvised narrative through bright colours and bold prints. The podcast parodies various genres and so elements of fantasy, sci-fi and westerns also come through. In keeping with TAZ's fourth wall breaking nature, the prints reference elements of D&D rulebooks, such as the circular "Death Saves" pattern, as well as elements of maps and mazes.
