Project Description

This interior textile collection explores how ballet can be transformed into a material language for interiors, and how embroidery and material layering can become ways to choreograph a space. Inspired by my personal experience of ballet training, the project reflects the journey from repetition and discipline to emotional connection and self-expression.
The title From Barre to Bonbon represents the transition from the controlled reality of the ballet studio to the dream like world inspired by The Nutcracker. The collection moves between these two atmospheres: the quiet structure of rehearsal spaces and the theatrical richness of the stage.
Digital embroidery is used to translate movement into textile surfaces through rhythm, repetition, and layered stitch structures. Materials including silk satin, velvet, organza, and duchess satin create contrasts between softness and structure, matte and reflective surfaces, helping the textiles interact sensitively with light and space.
Developed for high-end interiors such as screens, curtains, upholstery, and soft furnishings, the collection explores how textiles can hold the memory of movement and bring rhythm, atmosphere, and emotion into interior environments.
