Project description

Held Spaces is a textile collection deeply informed by a personal desire to return to stillness.

Rooted in an intrinsic appreciation for the solace found in natural environments,

the collection channels a longing to feel grounded and immersed in the outdoors.

In recent years, the centring practice of yoga has offered a new sanctuary for me - a space to

cultivate presence and return to myself. Offering both a valuable community and nurturing

environment, yoga has acted as an anchoring source within the busyness of modern life.

Within this collection, I seek to honour that refuge, creating pieces that work to bring the

serenity of the outdoors - harnessing light, atmosphere and texture to uplift studio spaces.

Considered prints aim to capture a raw aesthetic, a prominence of organic shapes and flowing

line echoing the imperfect beauty of the living landscape. Through subtle shifts of tone,

layered marks, and a focus on tactile detail, the textiles invite not just visual engagement but

a sensory experience, creating ambient environments that support reflection, movement,

and calm, aligning the energy of the space with the grounding intentions of yoga practice.
