Music for Stories & Imagined Worlds is the graduate portfolio of Edinburgh-based composer Shanggeng Li, bringing together original music and scoring work for film, games and media. His work is driven by story, place and world-building, moving across acoustic, orchestral, electronic and vocal sound worlds.
Before studying Composition for Screen and Games at the University of Edinburgh, Shanggeng spent three years working as a game designer at Tencent. This experience continues to shape his understanding of interactive storytelling, player experience and the relationship between music, movement and world design.
