Liminal Living is a collection that has interesting compositions, contrasting textures, and the use of rich colour combinations as well as my exploration of the subtleties of monotones to create engaging wallcovering surfaces for interior spaces.
Screen-printed patterns become textures, creating delicate yet durable and hard surfaces. I have designed each of my collections to complement each other using similar unconventional materials throughout my work. Through exploring the concept of wallcoverings, grout is a material used within all three of my collections.
The term ‘Liminal’ means a moment of transition. In line with this concept, I have designed large-scale panels that perform as room partition screens. They serve as functional barriers as well as decorative pieces of furniture, artwork and wall coverings.
