Alice in Wonderland

This picture book's narrative draws inspiration from life's nonsensical occurrences, aiming to echo the theme of madness from "Alice in Wonderland" and reflect it back into the real world. Here, Alice symbolises every individual navigating through life's labyrinthine challenges, ensnared in various forms of madness. The fantastical adventures of fairy tales serve as a mirror to our reality, exposing the madness and absurdity we encounter. Through its peculiar style, the picture book illustrates that many aspects of life may lack definitive answers, emphasising the growth journey within this uncertainty.

The Black Mountain Animation
Black Mountain

Stress is one of the problems that plague people wherever they are. The Black Mountain is a series of fantastical stories about Chris, a journalist who comes to a small town and experiences a series of strange events to uncover the truth of stress building up in people's minds. I used metaphors and symbols to draw this black-and-white animated comic.

Plot Summary:

Start: Chris is a journalist who happens to be passing through the deadly old town of Black Mountain. He stops at a TV store to report the news of the day: "The cause of food poisoning among the townspeople may be due to black mushrooms on the Black Mountain." Chris decides to go to the Black Mountains to find out the truth.

Development: Chris was on his way to Black Mountain when he saw a resident standing at the mountaintop shouting, and the air erupted with his negative energy symbols.

Climax: Chris puts down his suitcase and yells out as well. However, he trips over his own suitcase and falls off a cliff. Chris falls onto a pile of mushrooms, and a little boy tells him that the mushrooms are grown because of the residents' negative emotions.

Ending: After knowing the truth, Chris posts the report in the town, however, the little boy is still shovelling black mushrooms underneath the town.

Digital Abandonment Installation

In this digital age, the negative impact of the Internet hangs over people like a shadow. Among them, people who do not use electronic products and use them excessively are called “Digital Abandonment”.

The installation's design uses various materials to illustrate the theme of the digital age and abandonment. To correspond with the mobile phone tombstone, I used soil as the base of the installation. I arranged the shape of the installation into a small island to show the theme of the Internet trapping people in a limited area.
