Sadie Hemming is a costume maker and designer based in Edinburgh. She specialises in historical research and technical costume construction for Film, TV and Theatre.

Project 1: 'Six of Crows' by Leigh Bardugo
Living in a city of corruption and exploitation, six outcasts are recruited for a deadly heist that could give them wealth beyond measure, as well as freedom from their pasts.
Costume designed and made for Inej Ghafa from 'Six of Crows'. The costume features printed trousers, knitted jumper, leather waistcoat and tailored coat. Photos by Mihaela Bodlovic.

Project 2: 'Rebecca' by Daphne Du Maurier
A timeless story of love, despair and jealousy is envisioned in 1950s Britain. Devotion and bitterness are visualised through surrealist shapes, tailored lines and saturated colour.
Costume designed and made for Mrs De Winter from 'Rebecca'. The costume features hand dyed layers of silk habotai and tulle to create a voluminous ballgown. An embellished wire flower accentuates the silhouette of the figure.
