Troubled Waters

A river that floods more and more frequently. Isolated patches of habitat, and a decline in biodiversity. No safe, accessible routes for people to walk and enjoy the countryside.

This isn't the list you read in a tourist brochure, but it is the reality for many places, including the River Peffery in the North East of Scotland.

These issues may seem too big to fix, but just as these issues were man-made, they can be man resolved.

The Re-Flow project takes a holistic view of these issues, and presents six projects that help repair the River Peffery; from the dried up peat bog at its source, to the floodplains, every part is considered.
