Marie Vernell Trestrail

Marie specializes in documentary filmmaking but is passionate about all art at the intersection of social justice, education and community building. She was raised in Colorado but has spent time across the United States, including her undergraduate studies, where she received a B.A.C in Public Relations from the University of Alabama. She is now a freelance filmmaker, production designer, and film festival coordinator/screener (DC/DOX 2023, BIFF 2024). Marie is also the co-founder of Charcoal Mule Collective, a multimedia production house based in Scotland.
