Bio

At the core of my practice lies visual storytelling, with a particular gravitation towards comics. The infinite potential to tell one story through the combination of images and words excites me to explore the limitations of both the medium and my work.

The themes of my work address the small or big questions that arise from my experiences in the world. I find my stories to be a juxtaposition of vast concepts and everyday experiences of a young woman, resulting in satirical and sometimes poetic stories of imaginative characters seeking the answers to the questions I pose. My constant inspirations are femininity, the corporeality of the human form and the rich cultural tapestry and iconography of my motherland, Armenia.

We Can Plan a Murder and Start a Religion

A graphic novel about a twisted tale of two friends' journey with a glowing creature from another planet, filled with ambition, murder and manipulation. In their dark quest for power, their true identities emerge. There is no going back, and they are faced with only themselves in a world where God is both nowhere and everywhere.
