Liv Peers’ practice begins with photos of the mundane and often overlooked aspects of the world around us. These spaces are manipulated into empty and endless dreamscapes which are infringed upon by skeletal creatures. The strange specimens are results of combining different animals into one, playing with macabre and uncanny forms. This interest in skeletal forms was piqued because of how contrasting each form is when flesh is stripped away and how these become somewhat unrecognisable to the unknowing eye. By also utilising vivid colour palettes it diverges and further distorts reality to further the exploration of life in death.
