This project combines traditional hand painted elements with contemporary digital innovation. Inspired by florals and my Chinese heritage the collection concentrates on digital textile prints using reactive dyes suitable for upscale nightwear. My work focuses on bridging the gap between art and fabric. Driven by a desire to revive traditionalism and realism in fine art paintings, I discovered a unique opportunity to translate this passion into my textile collection.

Effortless glamour meets comfort in this women's nightwear textile collection. Designed for easy styling and versatile resort wear, the pieces provide sophistication on luxurious silks, light weight chiffon, and flocked screen prints onto satin fabric.

Silk Floral Robe

Paintings of flowers are transformed into a repeating pattern. This design is then digitally printed onto high-quality silk crepe satin using reactive dyes, ensuring enduring premium quality. The fabric is then crafted into luxurious robes.

I created a repeat print inspired by the "Begonia ceratocarpa," a flora native to Yunnan, China. Drawing from my Chinese heritage, I incorporated a deep red on red fabric combination, symbolising vitality, and screen printed it onto sheer silk using a flocking technique.

Chinese Heritage Colour Inspiration

The colour way in this print is inspired by my Chinese heritage, specifically drawing from a photo taken in Qinzhou, China, the region where I was born. The print showcases a painted floral repeat featuring the flora Delphinium located in Western China and Hellebore.
