Beth Miller is a 21 year old, east-coast based, west-coast born up-in-coming jazz and folk artist. She has already found success in live performance, supporting the likes of Isaac Gracie and Nina Nesbitt, at her sold-out Magners Secret Garden event in Edinburgh.
Her most recent singles, 'Garden Gate' and 'Lost My Spirit,' are glimpses into the Edinburgh singer's cross-genre approach to songwriting. Beth hopes to launch her debut EP this summer, and has many live performances lined up, such as The Wee Red Bar (June 6th), the Edinburgh Canal Festival (June 15th) and Sneaky Pete's for Edinburgh Fringe Festival (August 24th).
In her final year of studies, Beth has focused on exploring musical opportunities for young people in Edinburgh, through community music practice. Her final Project 'Learning to Lead' shows a commitment to improving musical opportunities for young people, with research investigating social and economic barriers to music.
Beth hopes to continue this passion in her new position of 'project worker' at UPMO in Edinburgh, working to bring music projects and workshops to young people with disabilities across Edinburgh.
