Annie Heaney

My practice explores the built environment and our relationship to it. I’m interested in what it means to belong to a place and the emotional connections we build to allow us to successfully negotiate the urban space.  My painted work is influenced by printmaking, repeating motifs echoing the language of architectural modelling but challenging the idea of the planned, rational city and instead building an emotional topography of imaginary cityscapes.
