Bio

From the violence of earth’s reproductive processes, to coercive institutional meta-structures; I use death drive and posthumanism as a framework to consider complex dynamics of power.

Family stories connect with wider histories, from the genealogical networks we were born into, and the global positioning systems that survey us; to the roots and branches that will eventually consume us. I tell the story of individuals ensnared in systems of power; embedded like a flies in a spider’s web. Everything eats and is eaten.

The virtuous and the corrupt walk hand in hand. We see a glimpse of truth in the exchange between the nobleman and the madman. A black sun sets over a graveyard. A pervert stares into his hands in anguish, his bleeding phallus punctures the night sky.

Looking closely at experiences of transgression. Straddling lust, fear, ecstasy, and desire; I allow the lines between seemingly distinct emotional states to become blurred.  Worlds, symbols, and identities are found in perpetual states of flux, as energy constantly flows through disparate forms.
